Summer Schools and Expert Seminars PDF Print Email

This core concept of participatory watershed management has been successfully implemented in cooperation with Kenyatta University and GTZ Water Sector Reform Programme Kenya.

Summer Schools provide an opportunity to participants to refresh their skills by means of developing planning, implementation and monitoring tools within a given catchment area. Participants of Summer Schools shall comprise of watershed managers, members of Water Resources Users Associations (WRUA) as well as university lecturers and students from the ongoing Master’s Course. The topics of the Summer Schools will cater for the needs of the participants and the potentials and constraints of the given catchments. The concept is exclusively participatory. Community oriented training and participatory tools shall be applied where ever possible. It is planned to organise two Summer Schools at each of the three pilot catchments.
